Earlier this year I was shocked to learn that a friend and former classmate of mine was tragically lost.
Lisa Nguyen was a sheer dynamo of the human spirit and certainly among the most unique people I've ever had the privilege of meeting. A designer herself, she graduated from Cal State Long Beach. We had several classes together and I would always run into her at art shows. Always super sweet, loud and energetic, she never seemed to miss a beat.
To help celebrate her fabulous life, her good friend Jennie Cotterill organized an art show in her honor, along with a tribute concert at one of the local bars in Long Beach.
I was incredibly honored to contribute to Lisa's art show (which took place at CSULB), but more so, to have known the incredible tour de force that was Lisa Nguyen.
Rest in peace Lisa. You will be missed and forever remembered.
